North Korea Threatens a Nuclear Strike Against the U.S.

Say:     

North Korean Pyongyang has threatened to have a nuclear strike on the United States. They are ready to fire long range nuclear missiles into Washington D.C. the U.N. is trying to do anything they can to get this to stop. We have been stopping imports and exports of nuclear material, and trying to keep North Korea from testing nuclear technology. Unfortunately this isn’t working very well and the North Koreans are just defying our orders. The U.S. is confident in our defense mechanisms and that we won’t have a problem. We have been afraid of this for a long time.

Mean:

            If we don’t do everything that we can very soon then bad things will happen. All of our previous ways of trying to get this to stop haven’t worked in the least. The North Koreans aren’t listening to us. Also if we can’t make them stop and we get attacked, I’m not sure that our defenses will hold up. We are going to very many problems if we don’t do something that works now.

Matter:

            Everybody should know about this current event and especially people in California. First of all, if we get attacked with nuclear bombs it’s going to be a big deal and the whole country will be afraid including us. Second, if the nuclear missiles hit Washington D.C. then the people living there will have to leave and the city will become abandoned, the same would happen here. This is where we make the bombs, so we would definitely be another target. Last, if we need to fight back with our own missiles they would most likely be launched from California.
